With Spring Place in Tribeca NYC, anonymous gallery will relaunch a culinary series of events offering guests the unique opportunity to encounter art outside of the gallery environment. Beginning October 11th with artist Jes Fan and resident chef Fabio Bano, the collaboration will create a dining experience that explores the affinity between art, food, culture and the process of creation from conception to reception. Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception followed by a sit-down dinner featuring a one-of-a-kind menu and overall thematic experience.
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception and private screening. The screening room provides a prime vantage point from which to take in Spring Place’s dining area and exquisite interior. A seated multiple course meal conceived and crafted by Fan and Fabio will follow; offering an occasion to interact with the artist’s work, connect with other guests, and revel in appetizing adventures.
Each reception will result in a small limited edition artwork produced by the gallery and guest artist. As part of participation, guests will receive an editioned artwork. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to RxArt.
The gallery originally devised these dinners with projekt:NYC during Armory Art Fair 2011, and they were held at a different restaurant in each of the 5 neighborhoods featured on the Armory Arts Week schedule - the Upper East Side, SoHo, Long Island City, Chelsea, and the Lower East Side. Over the course of the 5 nights, artists Will Ryman, Maya Hayuk, Shelter Serra, David Ellis, and Megan Whitmarsh imagined delectable domains for over 200 participating guests.
