Anonymous Gallery exhibits some of today’s most exciting contemporary artists influencing popular culture, design, and the urban environment.
Anonymous Gallery was established in September of 2008 with the goal of providing a platform for contemporary art, pubic art, and community involvement. Since opening, the gallery has embarked on several ground-breaking exhibitions and ambitious public art projects, including the placement of unsolicited kinetic sculptures in the New York City waterways and a project where artists Anthony Lister, Greg Lamarche, Maya Hayuk and Monica Canilao installed environments inside shipping containers that were positioned near the city’s museums. Most recently, the middle of New York City’s Times Square, in collaboration with the Times Square Alliance, played host to the inovative sound sculptures of David Ellis and Roberto Lange
Exhibitions have featured work from artists such as Andy Warhol, Donald Baechler, Jean Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Jonas Mekas, Kenny Scharf, and Agathe Snow. The gallery represents globally recognized artists such as Ronnie Cutrone, Anthony Lister, Maya Hayuk, Greg Lamarche, Rostarr, and David Ellis.
